This is only needed, if you had the old eduroam setup of HITS (before October 2024) installed.
1. Go to Settings and “Connections”
2. Click on the eduroam settings
3. Click “Forget”
Download the certificate eduroam2024_ca.crt
1. Go to Settings
2. Click “Biometrics and security” ⇒ “Other security settings”
3. Click “Install from device storage”
4. Mark the downloaded certificate ⇒ in the most cases under your downloads und go through
5. Mark the certificate and click “Done”
6. You should see the installed certificate
7. Go to the “Connections” settings and click the eduroam network
8. Fill in the authentication form and finish the setup
9. The connection should now be established
1. Be sure you downloaded the new certificate (on some Android versions you have to change the ending from .crt to .der)
2. Go to “Settings”⇒“Security and Privacy”⇒“More security & privacy”⇒“Encryption & credentials” and choose “Install a certificate”
=> or search for "certificate" in settings German Menue: Datenschutz & Sicherheit => Mehr Sicherheit & Datenschutz => Verschlüsselung & Anmeldedaten => or search for "Zertifikat" in settings
3. Choose “WiFi certificate”
4. Choose a new name for the new certificate like “hits-eduroam2024”
5. Go to the wireless connection and choose eduroam
6. Fill in the authentication form and finish the setup
7. The connection should now be established
