| ====== eduroam setup for Windows 7 ====== |

| **Step 1.** Download {{:hits-eduroam-ca.der|the certificate}} to your computer, then right click on it, choose "Install certificate" and confirm that you want to open it. |

| **Step 2.** In the Certificate Import Wizard window, click "Next". |

| **Step 17.** In the "EAP MSCHAPv2 Properties" window, uncheck "Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)." then click "OK". |

| **Step 18.** Back in the Protected EAP Properties window, perform the following actions: |
| * check (if not already checked) "Validate server certificate" |
| * check "Connect to these servers" |
| * fill in the server name: radius.h-its.org |
| * in the Trusted Root Certification Authorities list, check "HITS eduROAM Certificate Authority" |
| * check "Enable Identity Privacy" and enter "anonymous" in the nearby text box |
| * click "OK" |

| **Step 19.** Back in the "Security" tab of the "eduroam Wireless Network Properties" window, click on "Advanced settings" |

| **Step 20.** In the "Advanced settings" window, in the "802.1X settings" tab, check "Specify authentication mode" and from the options below choose "User authentication", then press "OK" to close the window. |

| **Step 21.** In the "eduroam Wireless Network Properties" window, click "OK" to close the window. |

| **Step 22.** In the "Manually connect to a wireless network" window, click "Close". |

| **Step 23.** In the lower right corner of the screen, click with the on the network/WiFi icon, then select "eduroam", right click and select "Connect". |

| **Step 24.** Enter //<your username>@h-its.org// and your password. The is the same password that you use to access your e-mail. After clicking "OK", the authentication should succeed and access to the "eduroam" network should be granted. |
